When it comes to manipulating media files in MP4 format, many users prefer MP4Box over many other utilities. Its text-based functionality may intimidate inexperienced users, but everything can be made easier with Yamb (Yet Another MP4Box). It provides a graphical user interface for MP4Box, which enables you to convert, split, join or perform other operations on your MP4 files, without typing any commands.
The application is absolutely free and you can use it on almost any Windows version. It doesn't need to be installed, so you can just extract its core components from an archive and run its executable. Yamb doesn't ask for a significant amount of resources, but it requires MP4Box.
On its own, Yamb doesn't do anything, which is why it requires MP4Box. When you launch the application for the first time, you must specify the paths to the MP4Box executable, in the general settings menu. The user interface has a clean and easy to understand layout. Options for starting creation or editing operations are organized on separate pages, which you can access via navigation buttons, located on the left side of the interface.
Yamb allows you to create MP4 files with multiple audio, video and subtitle tracks and with multiple chapters and you can also create 3GP files. More options can be found on the editing tab. You can split and join media files, extract video, audio or subtitle tracks from MP4, AVI, MOV or TS files, edit or erase tags and convert files. As previously suggested, the application will perform these tasks through MP4Box. Preparing the operations is quite easy and executing them requires a single click.
You can perform various operations on your media files. The application makes everything quite easy with its user friendly interface. Also, Yamb is lightweight and it doesn't need to be installed.
The splitter's embedded player is not operational yet. With its user friendly design, Yamb makes it much easier to work with MP4Box.
